Can't find iPod charger. It is in the house somewhere, but every drawer contains a muddle of stuff that seems when I look inside to turn to a shattered mirror with nothing clearly discernible. Just been out to the car to scour around in nooks and crannies but with no luck. This is trivial and mundane but also hugely annoying.
Hoping for cheery drinks in the pub last night, but it was a gloomy little session with much depressing talk about prospects. Ended with the feeling that this line of work won't last as long as I want/need it to. Also, suspect I may have caused upset with a clever-dick remark as a little grouplet not in our company left. Stupid ass.
Most irritating, the topic of blogs came up amid general derision and then someone chipped in with: "Do you still do yours?" I could hardly deny it but hope the subject will be forgotten. Fuck, buggeration and bollocks.

Why would your blog be a problem? I don't think anybody at Handcart Towers thinks that private blogs should either be banned or subsumed into the company's site.
And as for there being little future in your line of work ... you'll be OK but the industry is changing rapidly and there are more convulsions ahead. Do you ever wonder this: we moved to Handcart Towers and got big TVs and a snazzy new office but was that really the integration we were promised? The answer is: no, all that lies ahead still.
And ponder this: every stage of the development of our industry has seen a layer at the coal face removed. First the comps upon the demise of letterpress, then those who pasted up and shot pages when full-page make-up arrived. So who sits at the coal face immediately before the press site now?
Look me up for a beer at some point. Much to discuss.
